Help us to grow our impact - Trustee roles available

Are you looking for a new way to make an impact?
Could you use your gifts and experience and add your voice to our Board?

Communities Together Durham (CTD) are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Board of Trustees. CTD is a growing Christian charity that works alongside churches and communities in the Diocese of Durham to tackle poverty and create lasting change.

We have three distinct projects:
- The Bridge project works alongside churches to tackle poverty and bring hope through a wide range of community projects
- The RAS Project provides support and assistance to asylum seekers and refugees in County Durham
- Heart on the Terrace is our lively community drop-in located in Murton providing a food pantry, meals and low-cost activities

We lead projects which bring hope to communities and we support passionate individuals and groups as they respond to local needs. We work closely with the Diocese of Durham, local authorities and ecumenical partners.

As a Trustee with Communities Together Durham, you would help to guide our work in supporting local churches, empowering communities, and delivering projects that create real change. We have a staff team of 12 working in our three distinct projects. Trustees meet 6 times per year to provide support and oversight to our work.

What We Offer:

·        The opportunity to contribute to positive change in the Tyne-Tees area.

·        The chance to work alongside a passionate and supportive team of Trustees, staff, and volunteers.

·        Flexibility and respect for your time and expertise, allowing you to contribute meaningfully at a pace that works for you.

If you would like to express an interest in becoming a new Trustee and joining our team please contact:

Jo McRae at jo.mcrae@communitiestogetherdurham.org.uk or 07428 211167 to express your interest by Friday 29th May.

We would welcome informal conversations with Alexander Jones (CEO) or Sheila Bamber (Chair of Trustees).
