Communities Together Durham works alongside churches, local groups and neighbourhood partners to help create stronger, more connected communities across Gateshead, South Tyneside, Sunderland, County Durham, Hartlepool, Stockton and Darlington. Whether you’re looking for support, interested in volunteering, or exploring how your church or organisation can make a positive difference in your area, we are here to help.

Our work focuses on listening, encouraging and enabling local people to take action on the things that matter most to them. Sometimes that looks like starting a community meal or warm space, sometimes it’s supporting a small group to develop a new project, and sometimes it’s simply being available to talk, reflect and walk alongside a community as it grows.
